Hotels in the towns of more economically developed western Bhutan ( Thimphu , Paro, Punakha) provide reasonably good accommodation and cuisine, but as one ventures further afield, into the central and eastern regions, the lodging becomes more rudimentary. Even when you travel with Hi Flying Tours to remote areas of central and eastern Bhutan , you can be sure that your accommodation in lodges, guest houses, smaller hotels and tented camps will be up to the best available. Sometimes the best hotel may be the only hotel, and a very modest one at that but, in such cases, we feel that any minor inconveniences endured will be far outweighed by the unique experience of traveling in these more remote areas.
